And I will be putting an 09 Street Bob on reserve shortly. I predict that I will ultimately be more satisfied with my choice than he will.

I think I agree with your friend. I think I would rather have a Bones then a Street bob. The bones is really bad A$$ and the FL springer front ends are sick! I think you will both be equally happy.

BTW, have you looked at used Street bobs. There are are bunch of them out there. For example you could have this one for $8K+, where the new 09 will cost about $14K-$15K
