Needed to get some fork clamps from a Memphis Shades set up to mount my £35 National Cycle Flyscreen to my 49mm (2") FXDC forks. The brackets it came with wouldnt close round the fatter tops.  Anyway its on and I think it looks good.  The real bonus is that it really does keep the wind presure off your head  at higher speeds.

Was sceptical but now I'm a happy chap!!   Will post some pics when I get some taken...

I have the National Cycle "Flyscreen" on my 2005 FXDCI and surprisingly it keeps all the lint from forming in my belly button. LOL

Actually, I was surprised it did help, and looks nice.
When people ride by me they have no idea what I am riding because of the flyscreen.

I'd be interested in seeing some pics of how you used the Memphis Shades mounts to make the National flyscreen work with the 49mm forks. I've been thinking about doing this but haven't figured out how to mount it.

Which one to use on a late model Dyna?  I didn't see anything listed in their so-called 'online catalog' for Street Bobs...

It is stock, so is the chin spoiler.
2002 FXDWG3 CVO

Like someone else said, it keeps the lint out of the bellybutton.  Forget about any serious wind protection.  It just makes the bike go faster... lol

While you wait for pix...The brackets from memphis shades kit are all you need for a 49mm (2") fitting to a 07 FXDC Dyna superglide.
What you need to do is take the short bolt and the long bolt which comes with the Memphis Shades kit and swap them over from their respective positions.
The long bolt as the kit comes is the clamp bolt, this will become the fitting bolt to marry the original Flyscreen kit to the MS clamp. Use this in conjuction with the disk shaped item (looks like the quick release spacer maybe? dont know cos I dont have a Memphis shades screen) and use this as a "washer" it allows the longer bolt to sit into it and leave sufficient length to fit to  the alloy billet arms from the fly screen kit (use the star washer to give grip).  The short bolt (same but shorter than the swapped clamp bolt) then becomes the clamp bolt to shut the bracket around the top of your forks.

I adjusted the hinge element of the memphis shades bracket to the second last slots from the max end position, I used M rubber strip that came with the flyscreen to pad out the fitting around the top of the forks.

Guys if you order the MS brackets and look at what you receive, it will be self explanitory...honest I took a punt and it worked great!!

Will still post pix tomorrow...Mick

Are you using a Sporty Flyscreen kit? Can you get just the Memphis Shades bracket kit, P/N?

Using a hybrid of a National Cycles screen using Memphis shades fork clamps as the 07 range of FXDC/B doesnt seem to be supported yet, means the brackets it comes with are too small and wont fit round the 49mm fork tops. Yes you can get the MS brackets seperately...dont have a PN, I got them from Custom Cruisers Uk in Derby sales@customcruisers.co.uk

This is the same Flyscreen I had on my Softail. It works very well keeping the wind to a minimum.

When I bought the Dyna SB I emailed Nat. Cycle to ask if they planned on making the brackets for our forks and I was essentially told to F-Off!

Ya, they told me the same thing when I asked if they were going to make a flyscreen that will fit the Sportsters that have the eye brow over the headlight. You can make it fit but it would look nicer if it were cut to fit over the eyebrow.

Ok so two pics which show my install....Pic 1 is the billet arm detail which is part of the Screen's kit...I used the washer that comes with the MS bracket as a spacer for the 6mm screw on the rear fixing point (its normally an 8mm so this reduces it down neatly) no engineering needed just use the bits you get.  Use the longer bolt that compes with the bracket, and swap with the short bolt and use it to close the clamp.

second pic is the screen on my bike..
