dyno'd today now whats up with my clutch

so i got my bike dyno'd today and when i picked the bike up i noticed i had to let the clutch out a lot more than usual before the bike would start moving. it was noticable enough that i had to check twice to see if i had the bike in gear. has anyone else experienced anything like that after a dyno tune?

so anyway, after i got on the road i stopped for gas and after watching the numbers scroll higher and higher i realized the pump didnt stop as it usually does. then i looked at the gallons meter and it was at 4.5+ and i looked at my bike....covered in gas!!! (dumbazz move i know) so after kicking my own a$$ for a few minutes i pushed her over to a water hose and sprayed it off then dried it the best i could.butshe runs much better now!! so about the clutch.....

Maybe it's possible that your dealer did a quick adjustment?

I remember when I had the dealer do my first service (1000 mile), when I picked up the bike the clutch did not begin to transfer power to the rear wheel until almost all the way out.

I suppose it's possible that things just slipped out of adjustment -- I hear dyno tunes are pretty hard on your bike (just what I heard... don't know that to be true first hand).

I'd perform a clutch pack adjustment, and cable adjustment if I were you. See your service manual for details.

I have never felt* my clutch do that, either before or after a dyno session.
Is it on a new bike?
Sounds like theycould ofmis-adjusted it, or smoked it.
I'd take it back and ask some serious questions.
I know the gas prices can give you sticker shock, but I'm glad you didn't torch your bike!

* Of course I've never felt so much love for the number 28, either [8D]

i know my dealer always F's my clutch adjustment. i like it toward the tighter side of HD's spec on the cable slack. id ask them if they adjusted it and why. also i've heard lots of stories about the clutches lasting a very very long time in these bikes (with proper care and maintance) so if you need a new clutch id be lookin at the shop cuz with less than 5k on it it should be good. i got 60k on my 05 dyna and theres no issues with my clutch at all. ive never had to adjust my clutch pak yet either and the cable adjustment since the new cables. maybe your low on oil?!?!? For around 30 bucks, you can get a Screamin' Eagle pressure plate, and it will grab your clutch much stronger. I suggest it, as it will ensure your clutch doesn't slip.

I agree that you might be a little low on primary oil as well.

I also like my clutch adjustment on the tight side. Let the handle out about 1 inch and it should start to grab.....last resort, pull out my factory service manual and follow the recommendations, and then fine tune if I can't stand the way it is.

Harper764, Hey man, I had the same problem as you after the Dyno and a 1000 Mi service.
Not sure who adjusted the clutch. Neither tech would admit it.

This thread is only a few days old andhttp://www.hdforums.com/m_3376502/tm.htmhas a striking similarity. See post #22
Hmmm....

I'm not paranoid, I just think their out to get me!
