Default Champion Trike

Hey all in the wonderful world of trikes! Got a question......Who has a Champion Trike or knows anything them? My dad right now has a voyager kit on his Ultra. He took it in to get an additional 4.5 rake on the front for steering. The loaner they gave him was an Ultra with a Champion Kit. After he rode that for a few days, he said the champion handles much better and is a smoother ride, plus it flows with the bike better. He's thinking about putting one on his Ultra now, but he's not sure if it's worth the wad of cash he'll spend. Any comments or suggestions would be great!!!

I bought the Lehman kit and love it. Ihave heard good things about the Champion too. i had an Ultra with a Voyager kit and found the trike kits that become part of the bike to be so much easier safer, and better handling.

I beleive my dad said he would be dropping around $10,000 for the whole job if he went with the champion kit.

Champ for $10k or Mystery for $35k (you do the labor & tires no trunk) Leola Moter trike in Pa had a open house and demo rides, I missed it do to rain, but I have been shopping and keeping my pocket book in mind, and I'll have to go with a Mystery and put a soft trunk bag on the back .

Can't get a trike conversion around these parts for less than $14,000-$24,000!!!!!! Have heard Champion's at the bottom the trike kit ladder.

There's nothing wrong with a Voyager Kit.

I have a Champion trike kit on my 06 Fatboy, everything but the body.....i decided I wanted a more custom look after I had purchased it....That being said I think its a very good product, it handles fantastic..I live in the mountains of Colorado and it takes corners like a go cart. No problem keeping up with other riders. It is also a very easy install, I've done all the work myself..The raked front end is worth every penny in my opinion, as is the reveres.(Also Champion and easy to install) As was stated previously by Grumpa, its far cheaper than some other options and as far as being down at the bottom of the ladder, it may be in price but not in quality or owner satisfaction as far as I have read. As far as the voyager kit lots of people love them and it is definatly a less costly way to go, however having ridin both myself, there is no comparison (in my opinion) in the way the two handle. I friend who rides with me has the voyager kit that I had test ridden, but now that he can't keep up in the twisties and has ridin mine he wishes he would have gone with the Champion....(I'm not knocking voyager owners....different strokes for different folks, just my and a friends opinions)
I think if your dad notices the difference after useing the loaner that pretty much says it all.....nowwhere to find the extra cash???????

We had a DFT kit put on a 2001 FatBoy.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; It has a fiberglass body with 7 cft of trunk space.&nbsp\\; With a Champion reverse, body painted to match the bike&nbsp\\;and all the labor it came to $14,800.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;That was the price rolling out the door.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
We have since had it punched out to 95ci, ported,polished &amp\\; cammed.&nbsp\\; We also put on a power commander and Rinehart pipe.&nbsp\\; At that for $3500.
&nbsp\\;
No more than buying a nice boat or any other toy you might want.

Champion also does not do trike kits for Dyna's thats way i have to go with a mystery trike. ( $3500) or moter trike ( but I'm looking at$15 k or better.) I have a FXDP I looked at the soft bags and the Champ trunk and I can get a LOT more in a soft trunk bag then in the Champ trunk. ( or I can get a hard trunk bag by Mystery
