Default 08 FLTR HK Radio mp3

I recently sold my 99 FLSTF, and bought an 08 FLTR. WOW - what a ride!

I noticed that the HK radio played mp3 CDs. SWEET! I have almost 10,000 songs in my iTunes library, and I figured - 165 songs on a cd - great!

SO - I wrote a mp3 CD. Here's the issue:

SOME songs play fine, some don't. I've switched the order of the songs - no change. I changed the burn speed - no change.

It'll play track 1,2, 3, skip 4, play 5-7, skip 8-17, and so on. (That's not specifically the case - but it's always the same song, no matter what "track" it is.)

SO - The issue is with the specific SONG - not the order, or burn speed of the CD-R. I'm guessing it has to do with the ID3 tags, or something, but getting info in iTunes doesn't really show me a difference.

Someone else HAS TO have had this problem. I just can't figure it out. It's making me crazy!!!

Additionally - I have an Intel MacBook Pro, and have used iTunes, as well as Toast to burn the CDs. No difference.

All of my music is in MP3 format, completely stripped of DRM - so that's not it.

Help please - and thanks in advance!

All I know of this is that I've tried to burn mp3 formatted songs to a disc with my itunes software also. It'll let you select mp3 format to burn with, but when I select the songs I want to burn and it goes through it's check of the list it'll give me a message that none of the songs can be converted to mp3 format. They aren't itunes downloaded songs either. It's all songs I've ripped from cd. So I guess my conclusion is that even though itunes says you can do it and the software settings elude to it also, it can't! If someone can shed some light on how you can burn an mp3 formatted disc from itunes software, I'm all ears!!![:@]

I have converted the music in the playlist I want to burn. Always the same message when I try to burn. It checks the playlist and tells me that every one of the selections cannot be converted to mp3. So I really don't understand how it is that you are supposed to be able to convert these files with itunes and it goes through all the motions of converting. Only to find out every time that I still can't get to the finished product. So far, I'm not impressed with itunes for anything other than downloading music to an ipod![:@]
