Default burnt trans oil

im new at posting hope im postng right any how i checked my trans oil and it is super clean but it smells like it is burnt im useing harlry stock oil i was wondering if this is normal thanks for any feed back

If it smells like rotten eggs that is the sulfur in gear oil. But if it has more than 10,000 miles on it you may consider changing it.

no it smelled burnt from day one been changed once 5000mile maintence trans works fine other then the 5th gear issue -07 noise the oil is very clean did not seem to be broke down it does not smell like rotten eggs or sulfur but just a weird burnt smell i was hopeing it was the typ of oil harley is useing

Mine smells more like 80w90 gear lube... I'm about due for a change

put some 85w140 gear oil or redline shockproof heavy in it and it might quiet the noise a bit.
