Default what kind brand you would recommend for 6 speed transmission?

Hi,

I own 2003 Road King Classic (5 speed transmission) and i am drive it a lot on highway and i am hate to see that my 88 Twin cams run so high rpm like 2,700 to 3,000 rpms depend what is speed limit (I-465 are 55 mph and any interstate like I-69, I-70 or I-65 are 70 mph limit..) i just hate to wear it out also i would like reduce the engine wear as MPG efficincy and engine life...

I has no way to buy Harley's Screamin Eagle 6 speed gearset (2,000 dollars)... so it mean i am look at aftermarket like Baker or Ulmault??? i saw some of Ebay that sell for like 600 to 800 dollars for it... i am willing to do myself fix to swap the gearset but i need know which is good and which i need avoid it??

Anyone have a suggest or opinions please tell me. thanks!

Hard to beat a Baker tranny Did you buy your scoot new or used? If you bought it used maybe the previous owner did a 3.37 gearing change and you didn't know it. If that is the case you can change it back to a 3.15 cheaper than a tranny swap.

Baker. If you are going to all the trouble of replacing the trans why not get the better unit.

All Right... I did research and price compare... the Harley's Screamin Eagle gearset kit are cheap than Baker's for price... but it is out of my Budget right now...

Type "ultima" or ultima tranny in the search feature. I just did and got two pages of hits so someone in one of those threads might have an opinion on them. I am not familiar with them to render an opinion.
