Default Rode Peak to Peak Hwy this weekend

I decided to take a nice ride up through some of the Colorado High country on Sunday...I was a bit worried about how the roads were, but to my surprise they were in very good condition and found many other bikers on the roads as well. My route was Hwy 93 out of Golden to Hwy 72 towards Pinecliffe, and followed that to Nederland where I picked up the route towards Estes Park (Peak to Peak Hwy)....amazing route to ride, not too much traffic and plenty of good scenery. Here are some photos from the day's ride;

Just outside of Pinecliffe looking west;

Gotta love the switchbacks up here;

Mount Meeker;

Long's Peak;

HogGlider... Sweet pics, sweet bike. Rode the same roads on Saturday... Coal Creek, Wondervue, Pinecliffe to the P2P then north. The temps were in the 40's and wind gusts were approaching the same!

LOL...I giot a company phone...what more could I ask for? I will give you a call here in a few days. I saw that your bike was at T-Birds on Wednesday last week...brought mine in for some new rubber on the front and saw it sitting there. The paint job isn't near finished yet, we are going to sand down the tank and respray it...got a sweet tank decal for it

Nice pics. I was gonna ride that a couple weeks ago but it started rainingand I hadn't brought gear. Ended up turning back around Drake then taking the road through Masonville and Stove Prairie up to highway 14. Very nice road, but much better in the fall. There's a couple corners on that road that are 10 MPH cautionary speeds... sharp. That and the corners that happen just over the crest of a slight hill. Makes you pay attention!

Thanks for the pics! I went there on Sunday the 1st.,following your same route, but I turned left toward Blackhawk, and then back to Denver.
Next time I will go the other way!
It was a great day to get out.

Nice ride. I'm planning a loop down to Telluride, up to Moab, and back over to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Only way to see Colorado.
