put one half gas tank on fired it up good as new

how long should i run the bike before retorqing?
10 minutes or so?
how often should i retorque these heads?
i just used the cardboard teflon coated one cause i didnt feel like ripping into the other cylinder
to dam nice out
i tightened up front head
so...little help guys?

Get it up to operating temp, then retorque 'em.
In the past I only retorqued them once. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to do it twice but I never had problems just doing it once.

Once I re torque after the first test ride I will put a wrench on the head bolts and every other bolt I can reach one more time after several hundred miles then anytime after that if and when I doing any other work on the engine that gives me access to the bolts. IE when I have the air cleaner and base off, coil out of the way ect.

Man, that is one shiny motorcycle...beautiful bike. Timewise, I can't say how long it takes to get up to operating temp. Just get it fully warmed up and then, retorque. Like Rodney says, checking the head bolts when you are doing other maintenance that allows you access couldn't hurt.
Too late now if ya didn't but, did you check the head and cylinder surfaces for flatness while the heads were off?
I hope your head gasket troubles are behind you.
i didnt guage the surfaces but when head gasket blew i imediatly pulled over and shut it down
so i didnt run it hot
also if you look at rear exhaust (one that crosses over to other side
pipe didnt even blue so no excess heat should mean head didnt warp
i know for sure its casue i didnt retorque
was to dam nice out last week on that day
lol
laziness comes with a price i guess
ok so...head gasket fixed..............
