I've put together a ride plan for Sunday,June 15th, but that is Father's Day.
If it's an issue we can change it, but I won't be able to go on Saturday, the 14th. I would like to do one ride on Sunday anyway to give the people that have had to work in the past to make the ride. If wives and/or family want to go along we can take the chase vehicle(s) again.
Looking at taking the I-17 to Mayer and 69 into Prescott Valley, then through Jerome, Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, near (or into) Flagstaff, then the Lake Mary and Mormon Lake roads to Payson and the Bee Line Highway back to Fountain Hills. A total of 303 miles.
Back in 1999 My wife and I rode many of those same roads.
She flew from New England to Pheonix, I rode my Heritage Springer and met her at the Pheonix Airport. My favorite would have to be Oak Creek Canyon.
We continued up to the Grand Canyon (south rim) and headed north to Sturgis and greater areaand back again to Phoenix all back roads. To many high lights to mention, but, I still recall the color blue of Lake Powell as being a once in a life time of visual beauty.I also recall Page Az as being Very Biker Unfriendly. Durango and Silverton was a nice place to spend some time. Then after over 5000 miles of one of the most memorable rides my wife and I did together, she flew back home from PheonixI rode my bike back home.
I wish I could be with you for the ride you have planned.
Drop yourkickstand and get up close and touch the red rocks of Sedona, I wish I had spent more time there as well.
Another Az ride is part of my plans again
enjoy

I won't be able to make it on Father's Day. My wife usually plans something special for me. I can do the 14th or the 16th. Certainly up for a ride on the 28th or 29th (maybe for AZ ride #4?) if I miss this one.

Yeah, I figured Father's Day might be rough for some. I have obligations with my son on the 14th, and I know a lot of the others would have trouble getting off on Monday.
If you guys want to do it on Saturday, that's cool. I will make the next ride. If only a few can do this ride, we can do it again at the end of the month. If someone else wants, they can suggest or create a different ride plan for the weekend of the 28th.
My brother and I are still working on the Coronado trail ride (3 days/2 nights), the issue being hotel availability in Springerville. That ride will be to Safford to stay forFriday night, up the trail on Saturday, stay in Springerville Saturday night, then through Show Low and the Salt River Canyon to Globe and Phoenix on Sunday. Maybe that could be the end of the month ride. Everything is booked for the July 4th weekend.

Great memories! You'll have to let us know when you get back to our neck of the woods! We'd love to ride with you!
2of2, We'll miss you! (Joe picked that weekend, because it's 2 weeks from the last ride, but I told him father's day might be a problem!)
MetalSpike, great to have you on board again! Invite the other half to ride with me in the chase car if she wants.
PS, did everyone see the pictures from the last ride? They are on the last thread, "Another Arizona Ride 5/31"
We can schedule the ride for both Saturday and Sunday.
Anyone that wants to go can pick which day they would prefer.
2of2 (Dean) can organize the Saturday ride and I can organize the Sunday ride. It would be smaller groups, but everyone would get the opportunity to go.
I set the starting point at the Denny's at 2525 W. Deer Valley Rd., just west of the I-17 and north of the 101. Like last time we would leave at 8:00 am.
The end point is at the Beeline Highway and Shea Blvd.
