you should loosen the engine always, that way you make sure everything pulls into alignment, with just loosening the tranny you are forcing it to match the engine instead of the two of them finding a middle point.

the torque sequence should similar to this

1 5 7 3

2 6 8 4

makes sure you pull all the bolts snug before beginning the torques sequence, the final toruque is 35ft/lb if I remember correctly.

yup, just make sure to check and make sure you dont have any gaps between the engine and frame when you snug the primary. Also do not for get to loosen the top motor mount. if everything looks good then remove the inner, torque the engine/tranny bolts and make sure the inner slides on and off without any major binding, if all check out there reassemble and ride the wheels off of it.

sorry for the slow reply, i just got home from work &nbsp\\;

You might loosen the belt, just to be sure it is not pulling anything around. As for the engine bolt torque, my mind is blank, I know it, just cant remember it right now[:@]

Mikevel, How did you make out with welding the inner primary?&nbsp\\; I found this same issue this weekend, I'm hoping I can have it welded but I'm wondering how it will hold up?
&nbsp\\;
Low_SG_rider, Could you e-mail (Ntotman@comcast.net) me the procedure to align the motor and tranny?&nbsp\\; I'm&nbsp\\;wondering if my engine/tranny are not aligned right, causing the&nbsp\\;inner primary to crack?
&nbsp\\;
Thanks&nbsp\\;for the help&nbsp\\;
