Default seat opion

i had a gw1800, the seating needed some work for comfort. i'm new and i mean new to my ultra, what type of experiences have you folks had with your stock seat vs having the alterations done? i've read some posts about gel pads which i didn't like on my 1800, and some about memory foam which i was going to do on my gw. here's a boney ass looking for long distance comfort. input please.
did i say new to ultra? i pick it up tomorrow. pac blu/blk[8D]

Personally, I think memory foam kicks gel pads azz over all. I use to not offer gel pads till I found the ones I use and they are actually made specifically for me and to my knowledge no one else has anything even remotely close to it. I do not offer gel pads alone though, memory foam goes over everything we offer with the exception of the riders choice and extreme modifications.

badx,
if i do anything to the seat , i'm not looking to raise the height. i like sitting in the bike rather than on top. that might be talking out of both sides of my mouth, but you get my jest. speaking from gw experience, i'm looking for that cadillac ride. is that feasible, just by adding you special touches?

i've felt corbins, and to save my life, i don't understand the concept of that hard seat being comfortable.

I personally like the sitting "IN" the bike instead of on the bike feel also. Depending on your height and weight going lower usually is not a problem.
