Oil leak in 79 iron head

have a oil leak problem on my 79 iron head..after taking it for a ride last week I found oil sprayed all over trans case...replaced rubber oil line from oil cooler to filter and rubber oil line from pump to oil cooler as they didnt look the best...took bike for a ride and thought I had cured problem..on my way home I gave the bike a good blast...once again I got oil sprayed all over trans case (only seems to do it if cruising above 65-70mph)...one guy I talked to told me that I should check around genertor as iron heads are known to leak around there..oil seems to be coming from front of engine and up under generator and thjen spraying over case(not coming from bottom of barrels)...any ideas where else to start looking??

Is it engine oil or primary oil? There is an engine vent line by the front sprocket that is supposed to return to the oil tank. If that's not connected you will have engine oil coming back on to the trans. There's a trans vent line that goes out in front of the rear tire. If there's no hose on that, you get primary fluid coming out on to the trans - especially if it's overfilled. Sounds to me like you don't have a hose, or a hose with a hole on the engine vent.
