Default How do I find a good Evo mechanic in my area?

I would love to learn how to do everything I need to on my '97 WG, but with 3 kids, I just don't have much tinkering time. I'm doing good to find riding time.

How do you find a trustworthy and good Evo mechanic? Is there a good internet listing somewhere?

P.S. I'm in West Houston.

Go to the local watering hole and ask around. I'm in the same boat as you. Looking for a good wrench but trying to learn it on my own as well.

Go see Q at Stubbs Harley-Davidson.&nbsp\\; He might know some folks.&nbsp\\; He might be able to work on Evos, because it doesn't affect his status for working at the company.&nbsp\\; I believe mechanics can work on older Evos that the dealership don't take in.&nbsp\\;

The best Evo mechanic I know and trust is Zach, owner of Iron Dog motorcyles in New Ulm, about 60 mi west of Houston. From street to full race, he knows his stuff.

A lot of dealerships won't work on Evos.&nbsp\\; Anything past 10 years is old.&nbsp\\; Some do still work on Evos.&nbsp\\; Just depends on the dealership.&nbsp\\; Don't ask me why.

I could find you an Evo wrench in Bryan.&nbsp\\; I still&nbsp\\;know some people there and they could recommend one.&nbsp\\; Small aftermarket shop type of thing with a former dealership wrench.
