Default Nazi marked High Power

I finally found a Nazi marked High Power.&nbsp\\; It’s an “a” prefix gun with 60-70% original bluing and all #’s matching.&nbsp\\; I believe this is one of the first High Powers seized by the Germans after the fall of France as this one has the “Brownings Patent Depose” stamp still on the slide.&nbsp\\; I have been looking for a decent example of one of these for a long time.&nbsp\\; I especially like this one because it has not been “tanked” like so many have been.&nbsp\\; Not mint, but a clean and honest example of a very historic weapon.
&nbsp\\;
You can see more of this High Power and the rest of my WWII collection at &nbsp\\;Biker Bob's collection&nbsp\\; Once there, select from the sub-folders on the left.&nbsp\\; Enjoy, Bob

Thanks Mark, it sure has been.&nbsp\\; I started buying my stuff long before it was popular.&nbsp\\; I sure wouldn’t want to buy it nowadays with the way this stuff has skyrocketed in value.&nbsp\\; Still in all, a buddy of mine has one that I’m trying to get my hands on.&nbsp\\; Anybody recognize one of these?&nbsp\\; Bob

It as Singer Manufactured.
Only 500 of these Singer pistols, which bear the markings S. MFG. CO. and Elizabeth, NJ. U.S.A.
The Singer guns, in their original form, come in highly polished Du-Lite finish and are specially numbered from S800001 to S800500.

They were made from scratch by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. in 1941 as part of an `Educational Order` contract for the US government. The US Ordnance Board wanted to learn how easily a company with no gun-making experience could tool up from scratch and build weapons for the government.
