Default only two questions this time

I have a 1972 xlh i have no starter relay and i tried to convert it to kick start using the kick start kit from j&amp\\;p cycle.First question is it possible for the battery to get drained because there is no starter relay switch?Because every time i ride the bike&nbsp\\; the battery is charging fine, but right when i leave it sitting for a day or two it seems like the battery is drained.Second question do i need a clutch shell from a xlch to get the kickstart kit to fit right?the spacing is not right,i know all about the import crap not always lining up.

Default RE: only two questions this time

This will be hard to reply to because of the forum problems but here goes. I cant answer your problem about the clutch but on the battery. The only way your battery would discharge would be if your bike has an open circuit and its draining your battery. Try going to a auto parts store and purchase a cheap electrical test light. Then unhook your positive battery cable. Hook one lead of the test light to positive battery cable the other to the positive battery post. If it lights up then you hae something pulling power.
