Default how much oil in primary on 1340 evo

i just recently bought a 1991 fxrs lowrider. i am changing out all the fluids and was wondering how much oil does the primary hold?

The only thing you need to do is fill it till it reaches the diaphragm spring, just overlapping the bottom of the clutch.&nbsp\\; However many ounces it takes to do that is what you need.&nbsp\\; If you put in too little your clutch is not lubed enough and will run hot.&nbsp\\; If you put in too much the clutch will drag.&nbsp\\; The bike needs to be upright when filling the primary.

Exactly as stated, fill the primary upto the lip of the open derby cover as per the HD manual. Make sure the bike is upright when done. All you need to do.

Yep it's about a quart maybe a little more. Buy the manual save yourself some headaches.

Clymer manual says 1991-1996 primary needs 38-44 oz. of oil.
