wife and I are planning to ride from houston to destin...WITHOUT THE KIDS, for a week....adult vacation, yes!
 \\;
We are thinking we want to stay in destin and are looking for suggestions on a place to stay. We are open to hotel, motel, condo, or bed and breakfest accomodations. \\;Any ideas would be great!

thanks,

This may not be what you are looking for, but Destin is a busy place now a days, if you want a less crowded beach, check out Mexico Beach, FL. \\; There are still some good deals on houses, and rooms for rent. \\; It is a ways past Panama City, FL, but the beach is still visible from the road and it is beautiful. \\; Something to think about?
Agree with the other poster. \\; Destin is busy this time of year. \\; Navarre (further west) or Apalachicola (further east) are great choices though. \\; Destin in the fall/winter is a good choice.
If you are solid on Destin, I'd suggest the Sandestin Beach Resort (multiple places to stay there).
If there is something specific drawing you to Destin area from Houston...then go....BUT (as you probably know) I 10 is miserable in a car much less a bike. If it was my nickel and vacation I would head northeast to cooler weather, on back roads, to a nice lake in mountains. Not as salty either. IMHO although I realize this was not at all helpful in answering your question. Ditto above posts if you do go. \\; \\; John
