Default cupping of front tire

My wife has a 04 VRSCB with 25000 on it.&nbsp\\; The front tire cups out and we talked to local shop and he didn't know what was causing it.&nbsp\\; The bike has the laced wheel, and last set were cupping also.&nbsp\\; The rear doesn't seem to wear real well either, flat in center and on sides and not rounded as in my dyna.&nbsp\\; I run 38 in front and 40 in rear, was suggested to run more than stock due to hot weather out here in desert.&nbsp\\; Any suggestions or ideas, or is this normal for the v-rods.&nbsp\\; We just got back from 4200 mile trip to midwest in 15 days and she loves her bike.&nbsp\\; Bought the bike with 5300 in Jan 07, so it doesn't sit in garage very much.

What tires are you running? My front Dunlop cupped bad fairly suddenly, that's why i switched to Metzelers @11,500.

Eazy, are you running the same brand front and rear and are they the same size and ratings as the Dunlops?&nbsp\\; Thanks for input.

25,000 miles on the tires?Or are you on 3rd-4th set ? &nbsp\\;That is way past the life span of any sport compound tire. 4500 is pushing the saftey of the dunlops. Yoy do way to many miles to run the dunlops. try what eazy did. the metzeler 880's will treat you good. I run the bridestones exceddas, cheaper and just as good.

My first set of Dunlops cupped really bad, front and rear.&nbsp\\; At 10k I had to replace them.&nbsp\\; Went with Metzgers I run 40 in the front and 48 in the rear, no cupping, and I have 14k on them and they look brand new!&nbsp\\; Love them.

Dumflops are notorious for cupping. Never did like their products. My front is cupping . My new Metz will be here by next Tuesday.
