Default Put bike back together!! Problems!!

OK !! SO i got the bike back together!! Hooked the relay up !! turned the key all lights work but can hear one of the curcuit breakers clicking!! No ignition and then did a stupid thing - switched the wire that goes to the ignition switch and fried the living daylights out of the black wire that runs to the switch!! SO need to re-wire the switch!! Why do you think the bike wont start?? The switch is new?? Could the run switch be bad?? Can I abandon the run switch and just install a solo switch on the bars?? So frustrating......ugh

dont be frustrated your really close. I have had this happen too. In the past this has been my problem. I have either shorted the wire to the handlebar coming from the start button and it caused the breaker to overheat and click like yours.

All I had to do was pull the wire tape it up and it started. Also check that no metal is strapped across both poles of the breaker as it will cause it to overload the breaker.

Electrically it will work but I recomend keeping it. When I laid my bike down 2 years ago, it laid down on the left side. I wasn't able to get to the key to shut it down, so I stopped it with the switch on the bars. Up untill that day, I had never touched it and had thought about getting rid of it. Now I have completely rewired the bike and relocated everything to behind the battery but I made sure to put a run/stop on the right side and an emergency option.
