I have a Colt Defender in 3" and it shoots well.&nbsp\\; It is adaquately accraute out to 50 yards, and reall accurate to 25.&nbsp\\; It reliably shoots everything I try in it witout any malfunctions.
&nbsp\\;
I also have 4" and 5" Kimbers that the same can be said of.

I shoot a Springfield Armory Ultra compact, .45acp. I don't recall if it has a 3 or a 3.5 inch barrel, but the barrel and slide are compensated.&nbsp\\; Couldn't tell you how accurate it is, using the sights, as I combat shoot.&nbsp\\; I would guess you'd need a ransom rest to truly determine how accurate the short barreled guns are.&nbsp\\; The main issue with the short barrel is the short sight radius, not the gun itself.

My Defender is a CCW so distance is not an issue-selfdefence range is-and is very accurate for this
Get one I`m glad I did.

I've had a Colt New Agent for a few months now. It's a sweet little pistol. It carries well and is a lot easier on the hands than I expected for such a small pistol. It took me about three magazines worth of firing before I understood how to use the trench sights, but after that I was good to go. Because it is a CCW, I usually don't worry about anything over 15 yards. Under 15 yards it is quite accurate. YMMV
