XIEDS trouble codes fixed I think
was getting trouble codes po131 and po151 ,would clear them but they would come right back as soon as I started the bike up ,I had gapped my plugs to 44 thou around the same time I put the xieds on ,I thought it was the xieds causing the codes but apparantly it was the spark plug gap on my bike ,gapped the plugs to 38-40 thou the bike doesn't seem to be throwing the codes anymore,keeping my fiingers crossed.

My Xieds came in the mail today, and after installing them I now am getting the P0131 and P0151 codes. \\; I did not have any codes prior to installing the Xieds and I didn't change any plugs. \\;I love the performance, but the codes concern me a \\;little.

Donny,on my bike the check engine light would not be on but the codes were always there and if I cleared them as soon as I started the bike they would reappear,I have started my bike maybe 10 times since regap to 38 thou and have taken several short rides and codes have not reappeared yet,liked the way the bike sounded and ran better with the plugs gapped at 44 thou so I will probably go back to that setting eventually,but for now I am going to leave as is just for curiousity sake ,I am not real concerned about the issue because the bike has never run better,just curious.

I made sure I didn't have any codes before I installed the XIEDs, but have not checked after. Last year, I tried putting spacers between the o2 sensors and the pipes, which did basically the same thing as the Xieds, and got those codes, but I got a check engine light, too. It would only come on for a few seconds after start up. \\; \\;
