Default Birds in my engine & tranny ?!?! HELP!

Okay, here's the skinny-

When I let out&nbsp\\;the clutch on my '78 Iron I get these strange chirping sounds from my tranny/engine!

Now, this tends to only happen when the bike is under load&nbsp\\;- ie. starting off on a hill etc.

At times she'll do it when I have her in fourth and am applying some juice to get up an incline...

Could this be the clutch going?

Anyone have this happen?!?!?

Since you say it happens when the bike is under load without the clutch depressed, like in 4th gear, then its likely coming from the tranny, but see if you can reproduce it in shop to see.

1.&nbsp\\; Adjust your clutch, just to be certain.&nbsp\\; Likely not it since its not slipping though
2.&nbsp\\; Check all wheel bearings.&nbsp\\; Again not likely, but easier than rebuilding a tranny
3.&nbsp\\; See if you can reproduce it.&nbsp\\; Put the bike up on a lift.&nbsp\\; Put it in fourth gear.&nbsp\\; Rotate the rear tire and listen.&nbsp\\; See if it happens for you.&nbsp\\; It will be exteremly difficult to rotate the rear tire with the spark plugs still in but it would be simulating the bike being under a load.&nbsp\\;
