Default Clam Chowder

Stopped by a sandwich shop that always has 4 varieties of soup. One of the 4 today was the wrong style of Clam Chowder. It seems nobody wants to make the red anymore. Any thoughts?

Could you&nbsp\\;add a vote for both? If a restaurant offers both I always have a hard time deciding.

I dunno what it's called but I've had chowda in Rhode Island that wasn't red or creamy, it was clam broth and was made with quohogs. (Pardon if the spelling is wrong.)
