Default Whats this worth?

Here is the add... I am very interested .. what should I offer him?

Super clean hardtail. Extreme care taken when built in 93. Never dropped, never abused. The title matches motor #'s, and have bill of origin for the 93 Paughco frame. The motor, trans and primary drive are from the original 75 superglide. This bike is kick start only and has no high performance nothing so it starts real easy and runs real strong and reliable. I've owned this bike since 89 and has a lot of sentimental value, but the crappy economy forces me to sell!

to me not much, kick start and rigid, whoooo. but id say $6,000.00. if you search around you can pick up a good evo for $6,000.00 to $8,000.00 and its a much better motor plus electric start.

I hear ya, but there something about a shovel. 6000.00 isnt bad, I think he was looking for around 7900.

yeah well im looking to retire rich and young, im 57 so thats not going to happen. just look on ebay and it will give you an idea what there going for. for that price you have a pretty wide selection of harleys. the newer the better. its to bad though, you buy an old shovel and dump a ton of money in it and you end up losing, but then you loose on any year, but not as bad on a evo. i used to want an old panhead, that is about 20 years ago, but at my age a evo softail with electric start and a comfortable ride works for me.

I wouldn't worry about it being a shovel or a rigid, but if you want to ride any distance, you'll need a seat with more padding or a spring seat. It's got class IMO (I have a rigid shovel and love it). I'd bring $6k cash, ride it first with the understanding you have $$ to do a deal, then&nbsp\\;talk about the seat swap and evo's for the same $$, then offer $5k, only come up to 6, and be willing to walk. But here's the thing... does it grab ya?

I have never been a fan of the aftermarket frames so I would say $5K-$6K.&nbsp\\; If it was the orginal frame/motor and title all match I would add a little for a collectors permium and may go to $7K-$8K if in very good ready to ride condition.&nbsp\\;

I agree, 7900 is way too much for this bike, she does catch my eye thou.
I am not going to be riding far on this bike, I know its a bar hopper.
I have an 07 nighttrain and an 08 cvo ultra for longer rides.

I think shovels (with drag pipes) are the best bar hopper out there.&nbsp\\; They are so BAD A$$ and they are much more rare then all the watered down $30K catalog customs.
