When I am coming to a stop, in second gear, with the clutch lever pulled to the bar, I get this grinding noise...

I am using the front brake and a little of the rear brake, and it feels like it is the rear brake that makes the noise.
The brakes have lots of meat on the pad, but maybe there is something on the pad or caliper that has let go, and is making this noise?

The noise that I am hearing sounds like a transmission being put into gear without the clutch being used....

This is on a 2002 FLSTCI. I bought it used, and it has had all the service done, and no issues, so maybe it is the clutch cable,
or the clutch that needs adjusting...

And of course this is my first bike, so no clue...

Do you&nbsp\\; hear the same noise if you come to a stop using only your front brake and no rear brake ?

I only hear it / feel it when it is in second gear, coming to a stop and it is only through the rear brake.... Its really weird..

I think that the previous owner had an issue with it as well, because he has had the rear pads changed twice in 14K miles...

When I feel the grinding noise I let of the brake.

Yesterday when I felt it, I hit the brake harder, and it felt like the transmission was being shifted out of gear, and it stopped...

Doesnt do it in 1st, neutral, or third.... crazy.
