LIFT LOWERING SPEED

I have a Craftsman lift that I have been using for 5 years.&nbsp\\; The jack is fine, but has one problem and that is that when you lower the bike with the foot pedal it drops pretty fast.&nbsp\\; You don't want to lower it from the top position to the bottom without being real careful as it drops to the stops pretty fast.&nbsp\\; Has anyone figured out a way to make this lift bleed off the pressure so the bike lowers slowly?

You should be able to regulate the speed with the foot pedal, don't just mash it, feather it.
