Default Just got Taurus Millinium 45 cal

&nbsp\\;I just took delivery of a 45.cal Taurus,and I was surprised by how the small frame pistol handled the round,and it is a very accurate piece at that.The trigger on fire has a free pull till the firing pin is going to fall,giving you the chance to get just right on your target.You know just a slight movement of your finger,and the gun will discharge.I've had my ccp for about a year was surprised,but expecting it that you know have to fill out all the paperwork even with a conceal carry permit.Used to diddn't have too.Carrying had it perk's but one is now gone,I'm surprised,and I see everyday how this law is under attack,so if your are going to get one better do so.I wanted a sig-sauer,but was $200 higher the the Taurus,so far been a good choice.

Default RE: Just got Taurus Millinium 45 cal

I have been looking at the Millinium .40 &amp\\; .45...
&nbsp\\;
The Millinium is the weapon that best fits my hand (when standing at the sales counter), but I have yet to rent &amp\\; fire one.
&nbsp\\;
Did you shoot the 9mm or&nbsp\\;.40 S&amp\\;W versions prior to purchasing the .45? If so - what were your thoughts on overall feel &amp\\; recoil of the different calibers? How much 'kick' does your .45 have? And how long are you taking to get back on target for 2nd &amp\\; 3rd shots?
&nbsp\\;
Seems to me that the 'compact' frame sixe is a bit small for a .45. Not just in the Millinium, but from all manufacturers.

Default RE: Just got Taurus Millinium 45 cal

I've shot many diffrent small frame guns with caliber's from 38&nbsp\\;sig/40cal browning/9mm ruger,all of these have the same frame size as the taurus.They were all good conceal carry weapons,but I really look for a pistol that you can take it off safety with the same hand you are shooting with.Some of them mentioned above I couldn't do that.the recoil is a little harder then a 40cal,or a 1911 45,which is how I got hooked on a 45,but it's a straight up recoil,meaning it's only a matter of bringing the pistol back to shoulder highet to be back on\\; depending on if target itself is moving.The sight's are white dotted making it easy to line up again.I was a little conflicted about this purchase.I thought taurus was a cheap knock off of a S/W with some cosmetic changes,but after 100 rounds I like it more,and more,really thought out well,plus they give you a little&nbsp\\;auto loader that depresses the mag spring alowing you to put the round in with little effort,something to really appreciate with a 45 cal.my colt diddn't have this.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
