Default hot primary

My 08 flhx primary cover will burn the st out of you. Fluid level is normal. Clutch wear and operation is OK. Just gets hot as a pistol. Anyone else having this experience?

Yes, try syn oil if you please but that will only give you about 10-15 degrees of relief. Not much you can do...nature of the beast.

Your engine oil in the cranckcase is about 230 to 270 degrees if running normal.&nbsp\\; The primary oil will be close to the same temps, which is hot enough to burn you.&nbsp\\; It is normal.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
If you dont think so, go out and lay your hand on your auto engine and see what happens- they run about 200-230.
