Default Price too high, or just right?

I'm looking at a 1973 Ironhead Sportster. It doesn't run, the tires are shot, the front brake lever is locked up, and the crank case is broken. He is asking $1850 but said he'd sell for $1600. Is this too high or just right for this "project" bike? btw, the bike is claimed to be electric start only.

Shipping from his location would run me $500-$600. I paid $400 to have a 69 mustang shipped from a few states over to me once before, so not sure if it's more for a bike or not.

Most things on an ironhead can be fixed.
When I saw the photo of the busted crankcase, I said this is one that cannot be fixed. Period!
&nbsp\\;Run, do not walk away from this pig
A set of cases and the rebuild of the engine that is surely needed, along with the installation is going to cost you well over $4000 or more, then you have the tires to buy ($300) the battery ($?) getting it to run ($?) and yada, yada, yada. The list goes on.

&nbsp\\;What most likely happened was he broke the primary chain (unusual) and it got jamed between the case and the engine sprocket. The other possibility is an external blow from the outside to the case. In any event, this old Sportster will never run again. It can only serve as a parts bike.
&nbsp\\;I would put the value of this pig at $300 tops, and that is if you want it for parts only.
Good thing you asked and gave us the photos before you plunked down hard earned $$$.
