Default Specs on transmission input shaft

Hi Everyone:&nbsp\\; I have had some trouble with breaking jackshafts and one ring gear. I now have a hardened on piece jackshaft, but have to pick up the bike&nbsp\\; &amp\\; run it to see if that has fixed my problem.
&nbsp\\; There was a suspected bent transmission input shaft and it was measured to be 3.5 thousanths out of round. The mechanic fixing it says that's good. A friend says the clearance on the jacksahft to the ring gear is only 2 thousanths. If that's true I still have a problem.
&nbsp\\; Can anyone tell me these specs? Particularly the jackshaft/ring gear clearance and the Xmission I/P shaft play.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks in advance.
