Anyone with power estimates if I switch to the Woods TW6H .590 lift cams?
 \\;
Currently I have Mikuni 45mm carb, SE ignition, SE 103" stroker motor (heads, jugs, pistons, crank), V&\\; H 2 into 1 Pro pipe, and I have the SE258 chain driven cams. If I switch to the Woods TW6H will I gain a ton of power? I had a guy tell me it would be a night and day difference?

Thanks for any info. Currently I just had it dyno'ed 106 hp/ 111 torque
That cam, along with it's smaller brother the TW-6, have proven to be some of the strongest cams in the industry, for years now. We have used his grinds now for 13 years.
It was designed to be a real stump-puller, as it's spec's indicate.
You'll want the squeeze to be @ 10.2:1, and do not guess at that. Make sure and insure that you have that, along with a .030 Cometic head gasket, for proper squish, and your friends will be in the mirrors.
Those top end numbers depend alot on your heads and pipes....the big difference yur going to see is in the low to mid range with the TW6H over the SE 258.....the 258 is slow coming on to where as the TW6 will stretch your arms

Yeah I noticed that while racing another bagger, he had a 95" with a lot of motor work done, and I have a 103". He beat me off the line, but I just smoked him after because of my mid to high range.
This Woods 7H does good. No idea what it would dyno but pulls easy down to 1500 RPM in 6th gear (45 MPH). Was still going very strong at 5000RPM once when I let it out a little thru the gears.
Sounds like the same engine building rules apply. Lift is about the same just a little more duration but still a short cam for torque. Compression, maybe springs, valves, headwork, etc,etc.
