I’m sure the 1970 Chevelle SS with the 454 LS6 engine would rival these miles-per-gallon rating. No one could drive one without putting their foot in it most of the time.
&nbsp\\;
I read a Hot Rod magazine article in the 80’s that said the 1970 LS6 Chevelle was the fastest production car to ever come out of Detroit in the quarter mile.
&nbsp\\;
Number two? It was the Plymouth GTX with the 426 Hemi.

Had a 1973 Mark III, I think that baby was the king of fuel burning, never got over 7 mpg. Had four busted shocks and still rode like a dream.

Back in 82,I had a 76 Fleetwood.Easily seat 6 and room for a beer cooler also.At 70 she got 10-12 mpg depending on quality of gas.That was a damn fun car and times.I made just enough money back in those days to constantly stay in trouble.

That&nbsp\\;Oldsmobile Toronado still looks good to me. Had a 78 Jeep Wagoner I took cross country to California then back to Boston, then down to Florida and over every sand dune in Cape Cod, simply a great great vehicle!! Always got me home, drunk or sober LOL Good Post!, Tony

I had a 1973 Buick Riviera with the 455 in it. You didn't dare leave it idling in the winter when filling it up&nbsp\\;'cause it would never get full.
