Im goin in for surgery friday..I have a abnormally large kidney stone..almost 15 centimeters...To big to ever pass so the doctors are putting a stent in my kidney,The pain i have experienced these past few days is excrutiating even with the Vicoden they gave me.Anyone else ever been through this and what did they do to make you better ?

I've never had kidney stones but my wife did and she said that was way more painful than giving birth twice. I sympathize with you. I hope they get it out soon.

I had gallstones and the resulting surgery (prior to the laproscopic surgery) and it was a long recovery. I hope yours is easier.

Never had kidney stones, but I had gall stones.&nbsp\\; Prior to surgery, Demerol was my best friend.&nbsp\\; Had the laparoscopic surgery, and felt better almost immediately.

I have them, and back around 90 or so I had to have bladder surgery to have a rather large one removed.
I feel yer pain.......

I have passed 6 stones in the last seven months!&nbsp\\; Last one was last Friday.&nbsp\\; Gonna have to go see the damn doc to find out what I can do about them.&nbsp\\; They hurt something awful!&nbsp\\; I feel your painhope you recover quickly!

92 I went in and let me tell ya,IT aint no fun I would rather give birth then have to go thru that again,I remember the nurse asking if&nbsp\\;I needed her&nbsp\\;in the room(they gave me some real crappy tasting stuff)and I&nbsp\\;said nope I can handle it....Boy was I wrong...Thank goodness I havent had to do that again........Good luck.........

I had an 8mm one removed in April.&nbsp\\; It was simple surgery.&nbsp\\; no stint but they went in (sure you can guess where) and had to remove it.&nbsp\\; Knocked me out and I don't remember anythign.
