Default Mobil 1 4 Cycle/V Twin???

I'm told V Twin oil and the Mobil 1 4 Cycle oil is the same, with different labeling??? True or not? Auto Zone guy says the one SKU #, 153232 shows it as the 4 Cycle oil with the alternate being V Twin oil, which they state is the same. Any clarification out there???

Default RE: Mobil 1 4 Cycle/V Twin???

If you mean the Mobil 1 racing 4T which they normally have next to the v-twin, it is 10w40 while v-twin is 20w50. Everyone says the Mobil 1 redcap (maybe something else now) 15w50 is the same as the v-twin 20w50.

The Vtwin 20w50 has a bit more additives than the 15w50 but not much. Either will work.

I am running HD 20 50 in the primary, only because I had the extra qt. laying around. All is fine and actually better, which makes me wonder if HD even filled it up with the 32 oz. it says is required! Next change will be V Twin oil. Red Line heavy is in the trans with much less gear noise I might add!
