Default Downshift Problem

The other day while taking a couple short rides the tranny wouldn't downshift into 1st while coming to a stop (twice). This has never happened before. I tried everything but standing up and stomping on the shifter. It got hung up in 3rd the 1st time and 2nd the 2nd time and I had to start out lugging. The 1st time I was stopped and downshifted and it hung up, the 2nd time I was coming to a stop but still moving. This bike has only 10k on it and it was serviced less than 1,200 miles ago.
&nbsp\\;
I noticed that if I let the clutch out just a bit&nbsp\\;it would click down but if I attempted to take off it would lug. It hasn't happened enough to get a feel for everything.
&nbsp\\;
Any idea's ?????

Default RE: Downshift Problem

I don'tknow if my problem was the same as yours, but I actually would have to put my foot under the shifter and pull it up a little to get it to downshift, I took mine to the stealer for service, I didn't find out exactly what they did to correct it, but I have put about 7000 miles on it since and no more problems.
