Default Nightster headlamp "cap"

Hey, trying to get all the unecassary stuff off my Nightster, and went to take off the little cap on the headlamp(u know that lil aerodynamic looking thing), and realized its screwed onto the headlamp itself. Has anybody ever takin this off and if so, how did you do it? Im no mechanic so I dont want to screw anything up.
&nbsp\\;
P.S: is it recommendable to take off that plastic drive belt "keeper" thing off? Been wantin to for a while...

If you are talking about the visor over the light, several people have removed them. It should be as simple as taking two allen head bolts out. I have been meaning to do this for a while but have been waiting until I found a nice black anodized or powder coated bullet headlamp at a reasonable price.&nbsp\\;

The headlight is attached to the visor, under that little plastic circle. You're gonna have to get something to mount the light to if you take off the visor (by undoing the 2 allen bolts). I'm sure someone will chime in here with info on how to do it! [\\\\\\]

Not tryin to be a smartass but please do yourself a big favor and buy a factory repair manual before you start taking things off your bike.
Even with the manual if your not at least a fair wrench leave things up to the pros. After all your life may depend on how well you know your way around a toolbox
