Default HELP!! Harmonic or rubbing while moving

Just this week I noticed a slight harmonic coming through the handlebars. I initially thought it was a brake pad dragging on the rotor. Yesterday I was in a parking lot a very low speed and while making a sharp turn the harmonic turned into a rubbing sound. An ideas?

I just got the bike up on the jack and the front wheel is turning about like I would expect with the brake caliper installed. I do get a slight chirping from the front brake when I apply it (New Lyndall pads on hogpro wheels and rotors).

I looked at the belt and it is riding on one side of the pulley, could this be the problem?? I checked the deflection and it looks good, but I am getting noise from where the belt is riding in the pulley. Really want to get the bike out today before the rain but I am worried this is a safety issue.

Belt tension is the problem. The belt is too tight. I loosened the left side and the rubbing went away. I loosened the tensioner on the left side a 1/2 a turn and it is still there but not as bad. I really dont want to remove the exhaust on the right side to get to the tensioner over there as I am shoping for a new exhaust and I just dont want to pull the slip on off today. outside of the noise, how many miles can I ride before I cause damage to the belt or the pulley? I am shopping for new exhaust right now and would prefer to wait until I get the new set to remove the exhaust.

I had a similar sound/feel on my 07FXD. At low speed running next to a wall I could hear a 'rub' rub' 'rub'. This is when the bike was new. Looked all over, could not figure it out. Then the sound went away. Just had my 10K service.&nbsp\\;My rear axel was frozen up and had to be replaced. I wonder now if that sound was from before it froze up. they say my bearings are OK, but I wonder...I am not a mechanic, but something was up.
