Default Nightster Question

I'm thinking of getting a Sportster Nightster.&nbsp\\;I do have a few questions though.
&nbsp\\;
I don't want to eliminate being able to take my wife on the occasional ride. Would it be possible to also buy the seat that fits on the Custom or Roadster and change it out when she rides? Would it fit? Also, is there a place to put foot pegs on the bike?&nbsp\\;

You can put passenger pegs on it and can also get a 2-up seat.

Suspension travel could also be a problem.&nbsp\\; The nightster only has 2 inches travel in the rear.
If your rider isnt too heavy and you dont hit any big bumps at speed you might get by.
Otherwise you might need two-up shocks.&nbsp\\; I ride mine solo and bottom out now and then.
Oh, the extra stuff in your msg is the space bar&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\ ;&nbsp\\;

I dont have any experience with different shocks.
But I have heard that progressive shocks were an upgrade.
You might try getting the other accessories first..the seat and pegs.
and put the stock shocks on the stiffest preload and see how that is.
It might be ok for short rides.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; IMO the 2 inches of travel isnt
enough for 2 up so I would expect a rough ride with the stock shocks
or with aftermarket shocks.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I'm 160 lbs and the ride is ok solo but I do
still bottom out on occasion.
