Brussels, Belgium, June 18, 2008—[/b]Hundreds of farmers, truckers, and taxi drivers blocked the city center in protest of rising fuel costs on the eve of a European Union summit.
People around the world continue to plead with governments to help ease the blow of escalating oil prices, which hit a new high of U.S.$139.89 a barrel on June 16.
Price increases have affected the affordability of power, transportation, and food.

Having a few tractors of my own and a diesel truck I cant get over diesel being about 20cents more per liter here. Thats about 90 cents a gallon. They keep saying supply and demand. I would think that most people are done heating their houses so their should be extra stove oil which is basically diesel. \\;
Let's see...China and India gobbling up more and more oil everyday, Americans continuing to drive gas guzzling vehicles, the world population exploding...is anyone really surprised? \\; Personally, I have no problem with the price of fuel. \\; \\;The oil companies get it out of the ground half a world away, ship it all the way to America, refine it, pump it into trucks to be hauled to my local gas station and it's still cheaper than bottled water per gallon. \\; Pretty impressive if you ask me. \\;

Nightline last night had people along the border in California building larger/second fuel tanks into their pickups and traveling south to Mexico to fill up.
wanna bet our Border Guards who cant find or stop illegals will start inspecting for the dreaded second/larger fuel tanks as Americans come back across the border
