I got a 883R seat of ebay because I saw a pic of someones nightster&nbsp\\;on this form&nbsp\\;with the same 2 up seat on it. I went to put the 883R seat on my nightster and it will fit but the metal tab on the back to screw into the fender is not long enough to fit the back hole for a 2up seat. Has anyone else had this problem putting 2up seats on there nightster or will a 883R seat not work for this bike, or does anyone know if HD makes a longer tab I could buy to make this seat work. Thanks!

It should be pretty easy to make one.

What year is your bike and from what year bike did the seat come from?

2006 and earlier year seats will not fit on 2007 and newer bikes due to the fact that HD moved the location of the ECU that is under the seat.

I think the Dr is right. the seat fits but its like the ECU is a little in the way and might be what would be holding it up. Oh wells only payed $60 off ebay for it, might be going back on there. Don't remeber what year of the 883R it came off though.

I did the same thing and won an auction for seat off of an '06 1200R and like yours did not fit. I went back and looked at the auction and the seller stated that the seat would fit '06 &amp\\; up. I emailed her back and stated my case and she returned my money. Look at the auction and then talk with the seller. Maybe they will work with you.&nbsp\\;
