Default '02 Heritage Keeps Blowing Fuses

Looking for some advice...I'm a new Harley owner in fact I've only owned my 2002 Hertiage Softail since the Beginning of June. I bought it with 5700 miles on it and in awesome condition.
&nbsp\\;
My problem is that&nbsp\\;it keeps blowing the Speedo/Odometer/turn signal and horn fuse. It always happens when I'm cruising along on a stright away. Never happens when I have the turn signals on or anything like that. I believe maybe it's a problem with the speedometer and electric odometer. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
&nbsp\\;
Has anyone else ever had this problem? Any suggestions?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

First off, Welcome aboard... Please take a moment and post an intro in the NEW MEMBERS SECTION at your earliest...
&nbsp\\;
That circuit is your ACC circuit.... what have you mod'd or repaired recently that was right before the problems happenned????
&nbsp\\;
Invest in the Electrical Diagnostics Manual... it is an excellent tool to have in your box...

Thanks, yes that is my ACC circuit.&nbsp\\;Actually&nbsp\\;I did put the original front fender back on the bike&nbsp\\;and with that I re-connected the light on the fender. I didn't think that was on the ACC circuit. I will check it though. That's all I've done so far.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
I'll also look into a electrical manual as well.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks Again!&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

While blowing fuses or breakers really sucks, the nice part is knowing that something is shorting out and shorts are usually easier to find than open conditions.&nbsp\\; If you isolate circuits and nail it down to exactly which circuit, you can then isolate each part of the circuit, i.e., right signal, left signal, horn, etc.&nbsp\\; Once you have that, then it is the tedious inspection of wires and connectors in that part of the circuit to determine where it is shorting to ground and taking out your fuse or breaker.&nbsp\\; Hope that makes sense.

Check the Fender Tip harness for a chafed or rubbed section....
&nbsp\\;
First at the hole in the fender where the wire comes out of it... There should be a small rubber grommet protecting the wire from touching the fender...
&nbsp\\;
The next logical place is under the fender trim, where the wire is laid to protect it.... You will need to remove the wheel for this, as well as the tip light and side trim...
&nbsp\\;

Well your were right Shovelhead Bob, it was my light wire under the front fender. It rubbed through&nbsp\\;a couple places where it contacted the tire. I disconnected it and gotta figure a way of keeping it away from the tire. I'll have to look at a couple friends of mine Heritages.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks for the help everyone!&nbsp\\;
