Default Lifter noise?

I have recently purchased a 01 Lowrider with 10,500 mi on the original motor.&nbsp\\; I hear a noise that sounds like lifter click on the rear cylinder.&nbsp\\; The bike was well taken care of....has had all of the scheduled maintenances by HD although it has only 500 miles put on it after 10k maintenance.&nbsp\\; That was three years ago.&nbsp\\; Does it sound like a lifter has leaked down or maybe damaged somehow?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;If so is it a very hard repair.&nbsp\\; I&nbsp\\;know nothing about cycles as far as that goes and wouldn't try to fix it myself....just wanted to know if I should have it looked at?&nbsp\\; I&nbsp\\;had it serviced right after I purchased it as a precautionary measure and the mechanic didn't say a word about the&nbsp\\;noise.&nbsp\\;

Default RE: Lifter noise?

if this were my bike id loosen up the pushrod tubes and have a look at the adjustment. and if it had adjustable pushrods id readjust them and see how it runs. if it presists id replace the lifters. as u purchased a pre-owned bike you need to find out what your realy workin with.

and buy a service manuel if you havent already.
