Ive been riding sportbikes for about 13 years now and I am now thinking about getting a cruiser. \\; But i have a question about helmets. \\; I have always rode with a full face helmet and i cant imagine riding with anything else. But every person on a cruiser either has no helmet or a small helmet that only covers the top of their head, why dont i ever see anyone with a full face. \\; Is this taboo or something? \\;

Think of it as the equivalent of guys on sportbikes wearing fullface helmets with shorts, T-shirts, no gloves, and flip flops.....then get over it.
Wear what you want and don't worry about it.
Riding a Harley is more comfortable and enjoyable without a helmet but wear whatever you like. I have seen a Harley rider wearing a full face helmet, I think.
I belive in freedom of choice. I do not like the government telling me what to wear.

With that said, my choice is generally to wear a full faced helmet or at least a flip up full face. When it's hot and I do plan on high speed/big road travel I will wear a 3/4 helmet as it protects what little hearing I still ahve left that I haven't ruined and it is better than a 1/2 helmet.

Bike Week and other stop and go events, I'm in a DOT half helmet, event when the law allowws me to ride with nithing but a doo rag. My choice!
