Default Changing rear brake lever WTF!

OK seriously what have you guys had to do to get that F'n clevis pin outta the rear brake lever to change it out?&nbsp\\; I tried everything, prying it from behind, WD-40, loosening the mounting screw to give me some wiggle room, etc.&nbsp\\; Of all the things I've ever done to my bikes this is the dumbest thing I've had give me this much trouble lol.&nbsp\\; This mofo isn't budging.

Did mine a year or two ago, it was&nbsp\\;a headache, but it did come eventually.&nbsp\\; I can't offer any secret trick, just patience.

I might be wrong but I think there's a c-clip you have to remove first.

Thanks guys.&nbsp\\; You are right kb there is a small cotter pin that you have to take out first.
&nbsp\\;
BTL that is my other biggest fear, once I get this thing outta there it would be just as hard or harder to get back in then I'll really be pissed lol.

Just changed my rear lever 2 days ago and I had the same issue. The solutions was Pliers, place the front portion of the pliers on the flat surface of the existing lever the rear portion of the pliers should be on the pin. Then just squeeze and it'll come right out...hopefully.

I just did mine, here's the solution.&nbsp\\; after you take the cotter pin out, place a socket (~7/16 to 1/2") over the clevis pin, bolt side over the head of the clevis pin.&nbsp\\; Then take a set of channel locks and place one end on the back side of the clevis pin and the other on the wrench end of the empty socket.&nbsp\\; Then squeeze hard &amp\\; the pin will pop out into the socket.&nbsp\\; At that point it may not be all the way out but it will be out enough to grab &amp\\; easily pull out with pliers.&nbsp\\; Trust me, works like a charm.&nbsp\\; The good news is getting it back in is a lot easier.
&nbsp\\;
Good luck,
&nbsp\\;
Fred

I just replaced both levers on my bike. used snapring pliers.&nbsp\\; just insert the snapring pliers in the small holes on the clip. set thumb of other hand on bottom of pin, sqeeze pliers slightly. push up on pin with your thumb. pin slides up and clip stays under your thumb. took literally 15 seconds.
