Default 6 Months after prostate surgery

As many of you know I had prostate cancer and opted for the surgery, I had the 3 month checkup and was told everything was ok. Fast forward to 6 months later and you guessed it, I still got some cancer cells left and they want to do 8 weeks of radiation.
I am sort of pissed, I will be taking another PSA test Monday and see what happens.

I think cancer is like weeds in a garden, they are always there but they only poke there heads up every so often. I guess you have to keep weeding the garden.

It still sucks.

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. I had prostate cancer ten years ago and opted for the 36 treatments of radiation. Now, its back, at least the PSA says so. The urologist said the gland felt normal but the PSA is over 5, and it had doubled in the past six months. That would indicate some cells are active again.
&nbsp\\;
This time, I am being treated with Zolodex injections. This is&nbsp\\;an implant that acts to stop production of testosterone, which evidently feeds the cancer. The implant is in the lower abdomen below the navel and is good for three months. The side effects are mainly hot flashes and some mild depression. If it works, it will beat the cancer into remission again. Who knows if that is the last we hear of it.
&nbsp\\;
You have my sympathy.[>:]

Yep, it sure does suck. Grandfather died from it. Father went&nbsp\\;through it too. Came out ok after radiation. Hope you will be fine also. Try to think about the important people in your life and what they mean to you. Think of that and the little amount of time we have with them, when you are angry at the bs you are going through. A toast to your good health!

Very sorry to hear that you guys.&nbsp\\; My heart goes out to you both.&nbsp\\; Hopefully the radiation and the drugs will permanently put the issue to rest for both of you so that you can go on with your lives.&nbsp\\; Best wishes to you both.&nbsp\\;

hey Ironhorse, have you heard of Graviola? You might want to research it on the internet.
