Oklahoma, and Texas riders. \\; There currently is a petition out to allow citizens to legally carry firearms out in the open. \\; I have read the petition, and agree with it. \\; If you agree also, please sign the petition that is online at the following link\\;

I find it truly bizarre that Texas is one of only 6 states that completely bans "open carry".
I would have thought for sure that the opposite was true.
I wonder what was the circumstances around enacting this law years ago?
