Default Is this reasonable or what?

I found a 1999, 1200 Sportster with just under 20,000 miles on it for $3,000.&nbsp\\; The bike runs perfect&nbsp\\;and has no dents or scratches.&nbsp\\; This bike has not been abused I see the owner riding it all the time.&nbsp\\; I have negotiated this deal for a friend of mine, but I have told the owner of the bike that if my friend didn't pull through on the deal, that I would buy it.
&nbsp\\;
What do you think?

Sound like a winner to me - as long as you know the bike and have seen the owner driving it around - just make sure every time you saw him riding he wasn't headed for the repair shop. Jokes aside I think it sound like a great deal - I just bought a 1986 883 Sporty with 14000 miles, one owner, and the bike has never seen rain, it looks show room new,&nbsp\\;for $3000 But I know the bike and have been best friends with&nbsp\\;the owner&nbsp\\;forever. Good Luck!!

Jump on it! Even if it does need a little work, for 3k you'll have enough left over to do so.

+1 on that being a great price for the bike.

Sounds about right to me.&nbsp\\; I know you can get rubber mounts with less than 5k miles for under $5k.

Hell, I got my 883c for $4100 with just over 3k miles.

But having the knowledge of how the bike has been treated in the past is worth $$$$ as well.

Definitely sounds good to me...so long as you are sure of the bikes history.

I am positive of the bikes history.&nbsp\\; It is in top notch running order and has all maintenance is up to date.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Can anyone&nbsp\\;tell me if this is a rubber mounted engine or not?
