Default Speedometer and self cancel

Need help, have an 02 RK classic with cruise. The speedometer goes eradic and dies which kills the cruise and the self canceling on the directional will not work, the directionals work though.
Also... seems the bike is rough at idle and can stall, but will start up. All this at the same time. when the speedo works all is well... any ideas?

Thanks Joe

You need to check the Vehicle speed sensor and the connectors for it.&nbsp\\; It can cause all kinds of issues.&nbsp\\; Check your codes.

Default RE: Speedometer and self cancel

Sensors been out and cleaned 3 times by me and once by the dealer, codes were checked and fixed none of which seemed to have anything to do with the problem. I can run it 70 miles and have the problem start or as little as 5 miles. Shut it down start it later and no problem until I run it some. Dealers not sure what it is, I thought it could be the security module but not sure and don't want to keep adding parts until I get lucky.
Any and all help is appreciated... thanks RJ
