Default RPM to MPH translation

96ci Dynas....for instance I'm in 4th gear going 55MPH. What is my RPM? The book shifting points seem horrendously low.
&nbsp\\;
Here is where I shift
&nbsp\\;
1-2: 15mph?
2-3: 35mph
3-4: 50mph (maybe 48ish)
&nbsp\\;
Thoughts?

Mine is an 88, but I generally shift at 20, 30, 40, 50 &amp\\; 60 MPH.&nbsp\\; I have no idea what the RPMs are, it just sounds/feels right at those points...

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they'll be when you kill them.

&nbsp\\;Listen to your bike feel for it. It'll tell you when to shift. Your over thinking this.&nbsp\\;Don't worry about it and ride the bike man.&nbsp\\;

Don't really know the mph to rpm conversion in different gears but 70 mph in 6th gear is 3000 rpm. I don't know if that helps you much...

1-2 at 15 mph&nbsp\\;puts you at about 1250 rpm&nbsp\\;when you get into&nbsp\\;2nd.
2-3 at 35&nbsp\\;mph puts you at about 2175 rpm&nbsp\\;when you get into&nbsp\\;3rd.
3-4 at 50&nbsp\\;mph puts you at about 2550&nbsp\\;when you get into&nbsp\\;4th.
&nbsp\\;
I would bump the 1-2 up to about 25, that would&nbsp\\;put you at about 2100 rpm&nbsp\\;when you get into&nbsp\\;2nd. Generally, you want to end up at or above 2000 rpm after the shift. 25, 35, 45, 55, 65 should work pretty good for an 07 or 08. 06 Dynas are geared lower, so there's a little difference there.

Thanks for the input fellas I was just curious.
&nbsp\\;
I watched my 1-2 shift tonight and I am definitely shifting at about 25mph.
&nbsp\\;
I have not gotten it out of 4th gear yet and have stayed under 55mph. I think the sweet spot in terms of MPH might be higher at altitude (6500').
&nbsp\\;
After 500 miles I am going to take her up to 80 and see how it feels.
&nbsp\\;
What is redline again....5500rpm's? Not that I will get very close to that until after my first service.
